| My ten year career in higher education began in student affairs working with student organizations and transitioned into recruiting adult and online students before I joined a higher education consortium. During my time at the Consortium for Education, Research and Technology of North Louisiana (CERT), I discovered my true passion - creating access in postsecondary institutions for adult learners through innovative course, degree program and service delivery. The consistent opportunity I love most about my jobs (currently have 2 roles at a University level and at the state level) is the chance to meet new people, identify their talents, and use those to build a better system of higher education. It is amazing what a group of professionals can accomplish when they focus on each other's strengths and willingly contribute to strategic, learning and student centered, meaningful solutions. |
| Alise Chabaud Hagan joined the Office of Distance Learning in June 2011 as its first Instructional Designer with nearly ten years of experience in editing, technical communication, document design and development, project management, and instructional design. Using her academic background including a Master of Technical and Professional Communication (MTPC) degree from Auburn University and professional experience, Alise is prepared for the challenge of working with faculty across every discipline at the University. She is excited to share her instructional design talents with the academic community in their pursuits of designing and delivering high quality hybrid and online courses. While she understands the opportunities and challenges of electronic learning, she is also motivated and energized by the pulse of this university and its commitment to academic rigor, regardless of the delivery format. |
